i'll have to dig up the website i got it from (i think it was med-dept), but i'm pretty sure it was ww2. which is weird, given the sheer amount of medical battalions deployed. i think the 2nd medical battalion was a "first of its kind" type thing... a medical division structure to parallel the infantry structure.

but i may be wrong.

it's hard to find info on the 2nd medical battalion because there exists one of the same name in the usmc that exists today. curséd be the internet

Well, 2nd ID was like no other Division in how it was trained, configured and etc.

And I am still in search of this book...HISTORY OF THE 9TH INFANTRY REGIMENT IN WWII" by Albaro L Castillo. Apperently Mr. Castillo is working on a 2nd printing of it since the books are now worth about $100!
