And I don't know if it found its way onto the wire or not but I found a WWII field desk in the workshop on the property the day we moved in left by the previous owners.
I am working on getting a before and after pic for it. But I replaced all the warped veneer, sanded and repainted it. That paper thing you see on the big drawer in the lower right is actually 80% there and are instructions for putting it together. There is a compartment in the bottom of the desk that held folding legs which are missing sadly. There is also a type writer stand inside it as well.
It has a beautiful makers mark inside marked, The Displayers (w/ logo) - New York with a contract number (which I am looking up for specs on the legs). And the date 6-30-43
Shes a beauty, and shes friggin heavy I am thikning of MAYBE having a Varga girl painted on it.

Whadya think?
The type writer I got from the previous owner for $15, and I now have a 40s Underwood case and all in primo shape.
