 Post subject: WWII Lantern?

And the property keeps on giving....I found this in one of the other sheds on the property it appears to be a military lantern os some type I want to guess WWII it looks right for the period but not sure.

The back comes off and you insert a rather large battery ( don't have one to show for example)

There is a switch on the top that moves the 2 bulbs inside into 3 positions, left justified, center and right justified.

any idea on the date of it, there is no writing or stampings on it that I can see. It is OD inside and out.

Well whatever it is it works and uses a 9 volt, and the 2 light bulbs are independent of eachother which is cool
